What can I say??? Designed just for us!!! I love the family tree charts but there are so few that actually speak to the true family genealogist. This one does and it will be the next one that I wll do. Instructions are included to change hair color, too! You can visit the designers web site to see how you can add more children - up to 8! The sample was stitched on 36 count linen over two threads. If you have not tried "over two threads", don't be afraid! I did it!!!! And it is so pretty. The finished size on 36 count linen is 20-1/4" d 12-1/4" or 365 x 221 stitches.

I have been a cross stitcher and genealogists for MANY years and this lovely willow tree represent an old era of days gone by. Personalize it yourself or stitch as is. Regular cross stitching and Algerian Eye stitches.  Measurements: 11 count, 13-3/8" x 14-3/8" and 14 count, 10-1/2" x 11-3/8".

Oh geeze, I saw this and couldn't resist! This reminds me of a few genealogist ladies I know! Besides having a skeleton on it, it seems to apply to many of us. Besides, it comes with some really sweet handcuffs to add! I love it and it will be my next project, for sure! When stitched on 14 Aida / 28 count linen, this design fits nicely into a 5" x 7" frame. Regular cross stitch plus backstitching. Do it! Put it up in a prominent place ini your home!

In 2009, we was fortunate enough to visit Salem, MA while attending a national genealogy event as vendors and certainly we visited the graves there. How fascinating! Anyway, this is a great representation of some of the artwork on the stones. I thought some of you might like this pattern as I certainly do. Stitch count: 98 wide x 137 high.

I always have my eye open for trees on anything and this beautiful pattern caught my eye. It's full of fancy stitches, including Brick & Cross, Sides Upright Cross, English Stitch Variation, Couching, Foliage, Graduated Sheaf, Butterfly, Eyelet, Berry and more. There are great diagrams to show how to stitch these, but I suggest an medium to advanced skill level. Purchase beads to complete the project. Count 28 = 18-1/4" x 5". Beautiful!

Descendants of the Salem witch trials will love this! All those who died as a result of the trials are listed here. Stitch size - 100 x 340. Straight cross stitching. Neat-o!

The pattern contains charts and directions to make three birth or family recor samplers. These samplers are wonderful  ways to commemorate the birth of a child or to record your family history. The samplers are stitched primarily in cross stitch and cross stitch over one linen thread. Cushion, smyrna cross, and star stitches are also used. Stitch counte: 154 wide x 147 high. Stitched area size 8-1/2" x 8-1/8" high. Recommended linen size 14" x 14".  

What a pretty Tree of Life! I am a quilter as well as a cross sticher so this one really appeals to me. This is cross stich - I had to look close - but it is. Simple and colorful! On 14 count fabric, the image size will be 11-1/4" wide x 11 - 1/4" wide.

Neat tree of life and house, alphabet and room for personalization. The sample on the chart was stiched on uneven linen. On 37/43 count linen, the measurement is 8.6" x 7.3". No information is given for Aida. The intent is to do this on linen or an evenweave fabric over 2 threads. Instructions call for DMC floss.

YES! A KIT!!! You have been screaming at me for cross stitch kits so I got a couple and I love them both and can't wait to get started! A nice, big, 16" x 20" cross stitch KIT again!!! Wow! I had lots of fun finding these for you kit people! This pattern is a typical, recognizable pedigree style chart that we long time genealogists recognize. There is room for the family name and five generations. There is not enough room for dates but all the names will go in beautifully! The border has birds, a house and a family running across the bottom. Kit includes 100% cotton 14 count white Aida cloth, alphabet charts to personalize, embroidery floss, needle and instructions. I just love these and can't wait for another cold winter to finish them both!

This can be considered for Christmas time, but it also can be used year around. The pattern is for the tree only but you can add simple frames that you can get from any craft store and add your family photos along the botton. You can see on the chart that there are 4 small frames with photos at the bottom. Simple and cute! Stitch count 66 wide x 154 stitches high.

I really like this tree! If you were the least bit creative, you could add your own family names, personalizing this tree. Although there are beautiful birds in the branches, it is just plain pretty! This pattern calls for the ordinary cross stitch stitches with the exception of french knots for the birds eyes. Uses DMC and a little Weeks Dye Works floss. Size for 14 count - 16-3/8" x 18-1/8".
